Champagne's Letter

I'm helping Mom's work out by trying to get writing submissions to my very own Articulate Animals Gallery in the National Gallery of Writing. I love all of my animal friends, and I think we've got a lot to say...so our writing should be showcased right along with the humans' writing!!! (I wroted about this a while back. Click here to read more about it.)

Anyway, I got a submission to my gallery yesterday and I wanted to share it with you.

This piece of writing was sent in by a doggy named Champagne. He went over the Rainbow Bridge this summer and I think he misses his Mommy and Daddy. He wrote this letter to them to help them feel better about what he's doing now. He didn't want them to be sad. Here's what he submitted to my gallery...

Dear Mom and Dad,

I am writing to let you know what I have been doing for the last 2 months. I am free of pain and have been running, walking, playing like I did when you took me into your home.

Many thanks for giving me the life and love that you did after I was abandoned by my previous owner.

Remember that I will always love you and don’t feel sad for me as I am happy playing and running with Rebel, Pollygirl, and all the others.

Take care and I am watching over you.

Love always,
Champagne
My Mom said that this letter made her sniffle. She's such a silly Mom.

When u lose your dearest pet, take some time. But remember to rescue another one. Your beloved pet would want you to share the love you gave to him with another in need.
