My Souvenir

My Mom went all of the way to Mexico and all I got was this stupid sombrero. I'm a DOG. What on earth am I gonna do with a sombrero?!

More Stupid Snow

It's snowing outside AGAIN!!! I'm so tired of this stuff. It freezes in my little paws and hurts my feet! And it's just pretty darn cold on my belly, too.

Mom's obsessed with me pooping when it snows. The woman is nuts. I don't understand why she has to fixate on that. Sure, I get all antsy and agitated when I don't go all day, but I think she takes it too far. Tonight she carried me far from our house, put me down in the snow, and then made me walk until I went poop. How absurd!!!

The last time it snowed lots and lots I was actually staying at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mom went to some place far away called Mexico. (I don't know where that is, but I think it's by Ohio.) I got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa while Mom was gone. Grandma Cindy is nicer to me when it snows. She doesn't make me walk in the snow until I poop!

I got to spend a lot of time with Hossy when I was at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He's my buddy. And Grandma Cindy took us for lots of rides in the car. That rocks! Mom's not cool like that...she never takes me for rides...

Peeing in a Cup...Again

Guess what. Mom made me pee in a little container again. She chased me around outside. I didn't mess with her this time. I figured she'd keep sticking that thing under me, so I might as well just pee-pee in it the first time. She was pretty happy that I cooperated.

And you know what she told me tonight?

She said that Dr. Curt called her today and told her that those nasty bladder stones aren't coming back now! Giving me more pills helped, I guess. Mom said that my "ph balance" was good now...whatever the heck that means. I don't care--I'm just happy that the bladder stones aren't trying to get me!

Aunt Katie and Uncle Mark's House

Mom and I went to Aunt Katie and Uncle Mark's house yesterday to have a late Christmas celebration. I have four people-cousins there, but they were all pretty bouncy, so I just tried to stay out of the way. I watched all of the activity from the other side of the room.

The down-side to the day happened early in the afternoon. I was viciously attacked by a lion. OK...so maybe not a "lion," exactly, but a huge, huge cat. Skeeter is twice as big as me, and he snuck up behind me and POUNCED me. He smooshed me flat to the ground! I was terrified. My little legs went out from under me in four different directions. Skeeter kept trying to do it again later, too. Finally, he was banished to the basement 'cause he wouldn't stop trying to pounce me. I was still scared for a while, though. That was horrible. Mom said he was probably just trying to play with me. That was NOT my idea of "play," though. I told Mom that I wished I could have Hossy pounce Skeeter! That would show him!

I did have a favorite part of the day, even after the pouncing. You know what Aunt Katie did? She gave me a WHOLE HOT DOG! Woo hoo! Hot dogs are one of my favorite things, and it's been forever since Mom has let me have one. It was so yummy! I followed Aunt Katie for a while after that. Each time she went to the kitchen, I was watching for another hot dog!

Progress on My Resolutions

You'll see from this picture that I'm making good on my New Year's Resolutions, and in particular Resolution #2 -- to steal the couch from Mom as often as possible. I'm off to a good start! I plopped down right in Mom's spot on the couch, too, instead of the other end. The couch is officially mine!

I also did a lot of "marking" when Mom and I walked around the pond earlier today. And we squeaked some toys for a bit, too.

So far, I haven't been successful in getting my old dog food back. I have gotten a lot of cookies today, though.

That's not too bad for the first day of the new year!
