Before and After

Mom tricked me this morning. I thought we were going for a ride...and she took me to the GROOMER!!! I never go there in the morning, but that's what happened today. Mom usually takes me in the afternoon.

So I thought that maybe since Mom brought me home at lunch time that we'd get to spend the afternoon together. Wrong. She put me in my crate and hurried off to work. That just STINKS.

I'll leave it up to you, though, as to whether or not it was worth it. I'm posting "before" and "after" pictures here. Mom was calling me a shaggy beast this week. But now she says I'm at "optimum cuteness." If you ask me, I'm at optimum cuteness all the time!

Stink Pot

Mom's pretty tired today. She said that I kept waking her up last night. Apparently, I was tooting in my sleep! Must have been pretty stinky, 'cause Mom said it kept waking her up. That's absolutely hysterical in my opinion!

Fighting with Mom

Tonight I decided that I wanted to go to class with Mom. She didn't agree and actually refused to let me go. So, I tried to hide from her when she wanted to leave, and then I ran from her when she found me. Sadly, my plan was not successful. She caught me and put me in my crate anyway. Bummer!

I gave her my best "pitiful doggie" look when she left, though. At least that succeeded in making her feel bad about leaving me behind!

Going For A RIDE!

Mom took me for a ride tonight! That rocks. She never, ever lets me go for rides. Grandma Cindy takes me for rides all of the time when I go to her house. But not my Mom. I don't know what got into her tonight!

We went to the bank so that Mom could use the ATM. Then we went to another place where Mom made me stay in the car for a bit while she went inside and picked up a pizza. She wasn't gone very long, though, so I didn't even have time to get bored. After that we came home and went for a walk. What a great night!

The only downside of the night was that Mom made me wear my sweater. She said it was too cold for me to be in the car by myself without my sweater on. But then she had the heater going in the car and it got SO hot in there -- I was a panting fool! She was more worried about me freezing my hiney than being too hot, I guess.

Here's a picture of me in my sweater... I don't like to wear it, but I know it's just adorable on me. Of course, it helps that I'm so cute to begin with!

Two in a Row!

Mom and I walked around the pond AGAIN today! That just rocks. I love the pond. I really like Mom's stay-home days, too. She doesn't get those very often with school and work and stuff.

Anyway, I decided to not fling more mud on Mom today. Instead, I went with wet, icky leaves! he he he I didn't hit her with them, but I tried in a couple of different spots and I got pretty close. I don't think Mom really appreciated my efforts...

It's Spring!

All of that nasty snow melted today 'cause it got warm out. So guess where Mom took me??? The pond! That's right...we got to go for a walk around the pond! I love that place.

The grass was all squishy and smooshy, and there was lots of water all over the sidewalk in spots. In one place, Mom almost lost her shoe in the smooshy grass! It was pretty funny.

Some people let their doggies poop on the snow all over around the pond and they didn't clean it up. So the snow melted and now the sidewalk has lots and lots of piles of poop on it. Some of the piles were as big as me. There must be some BIG doggies over there!

The highlight of my trip around the pond today was when I really ticked Mom off. It was SO funny, though, that I have to share. See, sometimes I have to wipe my feet in the grass to leave my scent ('cause that's what you do when you run out of pee-pee). So I had to start doing that when we were walking around the pond. The grass was all squishy, though, so I got pretty wet. And a few times, my little feets actually dug through the grass and ended up getting into the mud. When that happened, I actually started flinging mud at Mom as I wiped my feet. I splattered mud on her hand and on her pants. It was absolutely HYSTERICAL! Mom was not so amused...but I sure enjoyed it!

Puppy Poetry: Why I Can't Post Very Often

School keeps Mom so busy
She's such a laptop hog!
She never lets me use it.
To write upon my blog!

But to my faithful readers
My Mom says "never fear."
She'll let me use the laptop more
Once she graduates this year!
