Buttons Went to the Vet

Mom said that Buttons went to the vet today. You know what her foster mom did? She made Buttons go pee-pee in a cup! Mom does that to me all the time. How rude! Poor Buttons.

Anyway, Mom said that Buttons has bacteria buggies in her pee-pee. She's gotta take antibiotic pills to get rid of the bacteria buggies. And she has other little buggies in her eyes so she has stuff for those, too.

Want to hear the strange part? Mom made me pee-pee in a cup yesterday and we found out that I'VE got bacteria buggies in my pee-pee right now, too! So my new sister and I both have the bacteria buggies at the same time and we're both taking pills for them. How strange is that?!

Buttons will be done with her pills when Mom and I get to meet her next week. My vet is making me take extra pills, though, so I'll still be on them then. Darn it!

Shawnee sent me some pictures of Buttons from her trip today. Here's a picture of Buttons's insides. Cool, huh? The vet said this picture shows that Buttons doesn't have any icky bladder stones or any problems with Arthur Itis (that guy makes my legs hurt).

Here's Buttons with her foster vet during her visit. Everyone at the foster vet's office had to say "bye bye" to Buttons when she left 'cause she won't go there anymore. She's gonna go to the same vet as me. Mom has even already gotten Buttons listed in our vet's computer.

And this picture is of Buttons in the car on the way to see the vet. Isn't she one of the cutest doggies you've ever seen? She's practically as cute as me! He he he.

I went to the groomer today (yuck!) so I'm at "optimum cuteness" as Mom calls it. You know what Mom did, though? She made an appointment for Buttons with our groomer. So the next time I have to go there, Buttons will go, too. I don't think we should tell Buttons that...unless she likes going to the groomer...

I Ain't Happy

My Mom is in SO much trouble with me.

This morning, it was raining out so I didn't get a good walk in and I didn't really take care of all of the business that I needed to take care of. When Mom got ready to leave for work, I figured she would take me out again. Did she today? Nooooo. Instead, she just carried me directly to the car.

So I think, "Well this can't be too bad. We're going for a ride! Maybe to that cool, big park again!" Did we go to the park? Nooooo. Mom drove a different way.

Then we went through a drive-through and I thought, "YES! French fries!" Did I get any? Noooo. Mom put the bag on the floor in front of my seat and never opened it! She just taunted me with it!

And then she tricked me by going a different direction and taking me to...the GROOMER. I really don't like that place. I hate hair cuts and I hate baths, and they do both of those to me there! Mom actually had the nerve to leave me at the groomer all day long, too, instead of just part of the day like usual. Grrrrrrr!

She gave me lots of cookies when she picked me up, so that was nice. And then we went for a short walk when we got home. It was still raining. I figured, "Great...a nice evening with just Mom and I at home." But did she stay home? Nooooo. She gave me my pills and then she LEFT ME and she was gone all evening!

I'm not a happy doggie right now. This woman owes me big time.

Note that my tail is down in this picture, and not up and wagging. This is NOT a picture of a happy doggie. Bad Mommy!

Hunger Strike, Day 4

I'm starving. I don't know why Mom won't just give me hamburger again. Stupid doggie food. I've been forced to eat a little each night, but not much. Just enough to get me through. I'm hungry and I want hamburger!

Oh -- Mom went to the people groomer today, I think. She had that smell. I had to sniff her head when she got home tonight. That's how I can tell. I wonder if she got in trouble for barking like I did at my groomer...

Getting in Trouble at the Groomer

Mom knows I don't feel good, so I don't know why on earth she thought I needed to go to the groomer today. But that's what happened. She took me there and left me!

I wasn't very happy about it, but I was a good girl...for a while. Then I got tired of being stuck there (and the bath, of course!). When other people came in to pick up their doggies, I asked them to take me home, too. I barked at everyone...and I barked a lot.

You know what the people at the groomer did? They put me in the time-out room! I got in trouble because I was barking so much. I was still in the time-out room when Mom came to pick me up. How embarassing.

I just wanted to go home...

Worst Day Ever!

Yesterday was terrible...just terrible!

Mom slept later than she should, so she didn't take me for a walk around the pond. Instead, we had to just take a short walk around the place we live. It was her fault for sleeping late, so why am I the one punished???

Then, she came home really, really early from work. I knew something was up, though, because she doesn't do that. Sure enough, I had an appointment at...THE GROOMER! I hate that place. It's just terrible! They make me take a bath and they make me sit under a dryer. Then I have to sit still while they give me my haircut. I really don't like going there.

I thought I was going to get out of the haircut itself because I saw Mom standing there when I was finished getting dry. I thought things were looking up. Nope. SHE LEFT! That's right...she freaking left me at the groomer all alone TWICE yesterday!

Then when we went home, she wouldn't let me walk much because she said she was in a hurry. She waited for me to take care of business and then she scooped me up and took me inside. I had no choice in the matter.

And then she left again!!! I know it wasn't a class night for her because she just had one the night before. So why on earth did she spend all evening someplace other than being home with me???

That's just not right. I'm pretty ticked at her now...

Before and After

Mom tricked me this morning. I thought we were going for a ride...and she took me to the GROOMER!!! I never go there in the morning, but that's what happened today. Mom usually takes me in the afternoon.

So I thought that maybe since Mom brought me home at lunch time that we'd get to spend the afternoon together. Wrong. She put me in my crate and hurried off to work. That just STINKS.

I'll leave it up to you, though, as to whether or not it was worth it. I'm posting "before" and "after" pictures here. Mom was calling me a shaggy beast this week. But now she says I'm at "optimum cuteness." If you ask me, I'm at optimum cuteness all the time!

The Groomer!

She did it -- I can't believe Mom actually did it! I'm so upset with her...

Yesterday, she left me at the VET...and today she took me to the GROOMER! How rude.

When she came home in the middle of the day, I knew what was going on. So you know what I did? I went and tried to hide in the back of my crate. I refused to come out of it, too. Mom had to crawl in there and pull me out. I was NOT going to willingly go to the groomer! I showed her...

Poor, Sick Pooch

Wonder why I've been quiet lately? I've been sick. Mom even made me go to that VET again! She was worried that I had more icky bladder stones 'cause I was having accidents in my crate. Dr. Rebecca said it was just a bladder infection, but they made me have tests done to be sure. I really don't like the vet...even though they're nice there and they love doggies. But no doggie likes to be poked and prodded!

So I've got some pills that I need to take for a while. Mom tries to hide them in my doggie food. She actually thinks that I don't know they're there, if you can believe that. I'm not an idiot.

I went to the doggie spa last week, so I'm really super cute right now, too. When you don't feel good, it helps a little to know that you're still adorable. Mom had the groomer trim my ears so that they don't flop in my water bowl so much. That made me even cuter!

A Day of Beauty

Mom took me to the doggie spa this morning for a day of beauty. I got an absolutely adorable hair cut.

I don't really like going to the doggie spa, though. You know why? 'Cause I have to take a bath there! I hate taking baths. My ears aren't itchy and stinky anymore, so I guess that's good. It's rather embarrassing, though, when the people at the doggie spa trim the hair on my bottom and clean out my...um...glands back there. So very humiliating...

I'm even cuter than normal now, though, and Mom really likes it when I'm this adorable. I suppose I do get extra petting and scratching, too, when I don't stink.

But I still don't like to take baths...even at the spa.
