Hiding from Mom

Story of My Life: Peeing in a Cup
Mom said that the vet was really happy about my pee-pee this time, though. All of the bacteria buggies are gone, so no more icky antibiotics! That's good.
Oh...And I'm still refusing to eat my doggie food. The hunger strike continues! Tonight, I made Mom hand-feed me some of it. That's the only way I'd eat at all. I wouldn't eat it off of the doggie food mat. I want hamburger! Give me hamburger!

Feelin' Icky
She actually gave me my sticky medicine again tonight. She stopped giving me that medicine when we started the bacteria buggies medicine 'cause she said that they both made my poo too runny. But tonight she decided that I needed them both, I guess. She said she was tired of me acting so pathetic and she was ready to get the old Lexi back. I suppose I agree. I'm tired of feelin' icky.
I Love Meat
This time she started giving me hot dogs, too. She's hiding the medicine in 'em, but that's o.k. 'cause I'm actually getting to eat hot dogs. YUM.
Last night she gave me this liverfirst stuff, too. (That might not be right, but it's something like that.) Anyway, that stuff is pretty good. She tried to hide pills in that but I managed to lick it all off and leave the pill on the carpet. Easier to do that with the liver stuff than with a hot dog.

I Win!
She's still giving me that yummy rice, too. I think it's got some of that yogurt stuff in it, but I don't care 'cause it tastes so good.

Puppy Poetry: That Icky Medicine!
My medicine is really gross.
I wouldn't lie to you.
I always try to spit it out...
That nasty, nasty goo!
I don't believe my mom
(She says it tastes like chicken).
It's supposed to make me better...
But it only serves to sicken!
Battles Continue
Sadly, I probably did the most damage to myself because it got all over my little chin. Now I smell that like that nasty, icky stuff! And I'm telling ya...it don't taste like chicken.
I did win a small battle this morning, however, when Mom took me outside to walk before she went to work. I presented her with a lovely pile of super-runny poo. That'll teach her to not give me the gross medicine!

The Medicine War: Day Two
- the wall (twice)
- Mom
- Mom's shirt
- the carpet
- my food mat
- my doggie bed
- another spot on the carpet
- and my chin.

YUCKY Medicine!
Mom said that the stuff is supposed to taste like chicken for me, too. WRONG. She squirted that gross stuff in my mouth and I nearly died. So icky! It was completely not what I expected. I kept trying to spit it out, but couldn't. Got some of it on the carpet, and some on my chin, but I had to eat the rest of the nasty, nasty stuff. I let Mom know just how I felt about it. I ran across the living room, trying to spit it out and wipe my face on the carpet at the same time.
Yuck!

Ouchy Tummy
Mom said she'd get me some of that yogurt stuff tomorrow. The doggie doctor told her to give me some of that last time 'cause it has good bacteria buggies in it for my tummy...or something like that. And she said she'd make me some hamburger and rice, too. I don't feel like eatin' anything now, though. I'm going to bed.

THE VET!
The good news is that they didn't poke me with anything. They just took some special pictures of my tummy. X-rays or y-rays or w-rays or something like that. They were looking to see if any of those nasty bladder stones came back -- the bacteria buggies love those, I guess. But the special pictures didn't show any. Yeah! No bladder stones! That means that I just gotta take those pills for the bacterias. If I had stones, I'd have to have surgery again. That's the worst!

Sick Again
So Mom took the pee-pee to the doggie doctor and guess what... Those stupid bacteria buggies are back! Stupid bacterias. Mom got more pills for me to take. I hope these don't make my tummy hurt like the other ones did the last time I had the bacteria buggies. That sure wasn't fun.

Fights and Food
Mom said that was the last antibiotic pill that I had to take, but I didn't believe her. She didn't make me take any today, though, so maybe she was telling the truth.
We went for walks around the pond yesterday and today. Mom let me walk really slowly and we rested when I wanted to. When ya don't feel good, the pond isn't as much fun.

Feeling Icky
Mom talked to Dr. Curt yesterday and he said that the bacteria buggies were all gone! That's good news. He was really happy that we caught the infection early, before it grew enough to "inflame" things. I'm not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound good. Anyway, Dr. Curt said that he thinks the medicine for the bacteria buggies is what is making me feel sick. I'm also not taking my liver medicines 'cause of that. So he told Mom she could stop giving me the medicine on Monday and then start me on the liver stuff again. I hope that doesn't mean that I have to start eating my doggie food again instead of the hamburger and rice.
I need to take a nap now. Dr. Curt told Mom that I probably felt like I had the flu...whatever that is.

Hamburger and Rice!!!
Mom called Dr. Curt and Dr. Rebecca this morning 'cause I've been acting sick and she said she was tired of cleaning up all of the runny poop outside (gross!). They said to put me on a "bland diet" until I felt better. Good news for me...that means hamburger and rice! I absolutely love that stuff. I'd eat it all of the time if Mom would let me. That stuff rocks.
The doctors also told Mom to give me something called yogurt with my rice. I wasn't so sure about it at first, but with all of that yummy rice in there, I gobbled it up.
Here are some pictures that Mom took of me last night. This is pretty-much all I did yesterday 'cause of my ouchie tummy.

More News from the Vet
Mom got a surprise yesterday, though, because Dr. Curt and Dr. Rebecca told Mom that I've got an infection. I haven't felt really good, but I didn't tell Mom yet. We've got a system worked out and Mom can usually tell when I don't feel good. It wasn't bad yet this time, though, so I hadn't told Mom. Dr. Rebecca said that we caught it really early, and that's a good thing.
Dr. Rebecca also said that the bateria bugs were really nasty, icky ones this time, so I've got more medicine to take. It's kinda making my tummy feel icky, though. I hope I don't have to take it for long!

Rice Rocks!
My bladder is feeling better these days. I wonder how many more pills I have to take...

What I Learned Today
- Mom wants me to take my antibiotic so my bladder infection will go away.
- I have to have food in my tummy before Mom gives me the pill.
Mom had to make me some rice twice today. he he he. I've got a good system going. I plan to keep this up for as long as she's making me take those stupid pills.

Poor, Sick Pooch
So I've got some pills that I need to take for a while. Mom tries to hide them in my doggie food. She actually thinks that I don't know they're there, if you can believe that. I'm not an idiot.
I went to the doggie spa last week, so I'm really super cute right now, too. When you don't feel good, it helps a little to know that you're still adorable. Mom had the groomer trim my ears so that they don't flop in my water bowl so much. That made me even cuter!
