Quack, Quack, Quack

Guess what I did this morning on my walk... I chased some ducks!

Mom and I didn't walk around the pond 'cause she didn't wake up early enough. So we just walked around the buildings where we live. Those duckies must have been confused, too, because they were hanging out near a drainage ditch by a building near our house. I didn't see them at first because I was already walking really fast, sniffing and looking for a good spot in the grass to take care of some business. Then I looked up, and there were two duckies RIGHT in front of me! They started to take off 'cause I must have scared them. I thought, "Well I'm going to take advantage of this!" and I took off after 'em.

I would have caught one of them, too, if I wasn't on that stupid leash. Of course I have no idea what I would have done if I had caught it...but at least I could say that I caught a duckie!

Quack, quack, quack

How I Embarrassed Mom

This was SO funny that I just have to share...

Yesterday after Mom got home from work we went for a walk around our pond. There's this spot where the sidewalk is all flooded from the rain we had this week. It's a deep puddle, and it goes into the grass on both sides of the sidewalk, too. Mom tried to get me to walk around the puddle, but what fun is that?! I went right through it! So she starts in on me...

"Lexi, get out of the puddle! You're getting your belly all wet. LEXI-LOU, get over here!"

I finally got tired of her nagging and tugging on my leash, so I jumped out of puddle near where Mom was. I waited until we were almost all of the way past the puddle, though. So then Mom keeps going...

"Oh, now that did you a lot of good. You splashed through the entire thing and jumped out at the end! You soaked yourself!"

And THAT'S when Mom realized that there was a guy on a bike right behind us. He was laughing as he rode past. Mom was SO embarrassed. She said that he was laughing 'cause she was fighting with a tiny doggie over a big puddle. I guess not all people talk to their doggies like Mom talks to me, either. I thought it was hysterical!

Puppy Poetry: Munchie Bones

Munchie Bone, Munchie Bone
You’re my favorite treat.
I love to chew and gnaw on you
You’re so good to eat!

You’re tasty in my tummy
And lovely in my mouth.
The only problem that I have
Is the one down south…

Munchie Bones must contain
My daily fiber fill
For when I eat too many
I feel a little ill.

I have to go out a lot
To take care of "stuff"
But even with that issue
I still can’t get enough.

So Munchie Bones are the best
But tomorrow I’ll have to pay
My tummy will be queasy
‘Cause I ate five today…

Thank You, Easter Bunny!!!

Guess what the Easter Bunny brought me today...a bag of Munchie Bones!!!! It's been a long, long time since I've had any Munchie Bones. I love those things SO MUCH, but Mom said that since my liver and stuff were so sick, I couldn't eat them anymore. I guess the Easter Bunny didn't know that, 'cause he gave me a whole bag all for myself!

I got Mom up early today to see if the Bunny had been here yet. Then we went for a walk around the pond to see if he was still out there someplace. I wanted to thank him. We didn't see him, though, so maybe Mom will help me mail him a thank-you note...

I wore my pretty Easter dress today, of course. Mom took some pictures of me enjoying those yummy, yummy Munchie Bones in my cute outfit.

Happy Easter!

Mom bought me an Easter dress this year. I don't think we're going anywhere for Easter, but she said it was cute and it was on sale. I do look pretty adorable in it. I even posed so that Mom could take some pictures!

Geese at the Pond

Mom and I have been walking around the pond lots and lots lately. It's really cool. I love to sniff over there. Anyway, Mom took some more pictures of me and our pond.

This one is of me sniffing in the wind and wiping my feets...

We've got lots of geeses over at our pond, too. Mom liked this picture because it has me walking fast over by some geese.

Can you believe those silly geese are all afraid of ME?!?! They're twice as big as I am! I think that's so silly.

It's a Stay-Home Night!

Mom's home tonight! I love it when she has stay-home nights. The stay-home days on the weekends are even better, but I'll sure take these stay-home nights, too!

We squeaked and played tug with my toys tonight. That was really fun. We played my favorite "you try to pet me while I try to bite you" game with my blue blankie, too.

Now Mom says she has to work on her homework, but I thoroughly disagree. I think she needs to just keep on playing with ME. I mean, c'mon...what is more important here??? ME? or her stupid homework???

I'm gonna win!
