That Stupid Door Mat

Here's a picture of that stupid door mat that Mom thinks is so funny. I hate that thing!

The Door Mat

Mom put this thing in front of our door and she said it's a door mat. I don't understand why she put it there. It just makes it harder for me to get inside. Now I have to walk around the side of the stupid door mat and then jump to get inside. She said that I should just walk over it, but I can't figure out why I'd do that. It's certainly a pain to get in, though, since I don't think I should step on it!

And here's another gripe that I have with it... Mom thinks that it's all funny that the door mat says, "Ask not for whom the dog barks. It barks for thee." What is THAT supposed to mean? I'm a little offended here. I don't bark, so why is Mom telling people that I do???
